A rested mind is a creative mind.

You can’t think your way to calm on four hours of sleep. Rest is where the always-on mind finally slows down, and where tomorrow’s best ideas take shape.

Why it starts in the mind

When you’re short on sleep, everything feels more threatening: the news, your boss, the future of work. A tired brain leans negative, and negative self-talk gets louder.

New Thought teachers knew the hour before sleep matters. Neville Goddard taught that the last thoughts you hold before sleep shape the next day. Protect that hour, and you protect your mindset.

Start this week

  1. Set one wake-up time and keep it for seven days, weekends included.
  2. Put your phone outside the bedroom; use a cheap alarm clock instead.
  3. Spend the last ten minutes before sleep on one picture of the life you’re building, not the news.
  4. Get ten minutes of daylight within an hour of waking.
